CHEYNE: GUITARIST, COMPOSER

Education

Cheyne Runnells has played guitar for over 15 years. He holds a degree in Music Theory and Composition from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Influences

Cheyne’s playing style is strongly influenced by progressive rock, math rock, and alternative rock, ranging from Rush and Fall of Troy to Weezer and The Killers. He is also very passionate about Japanese music, including technical guitar-driven bands like Janne Da Arc and Polkadot Stingray, and even city pop artists like Anri and Miki Matsubara.

In the Teaching Studio

Cheyne teaches private guitar lessons for students of all ages and stages. Consultation lesson is required for beginners under seven years of age.
