Winter 2026 semester registering now. Semester begins the second week of January. 

Music classes for young children:

  • GENERAL MUSIC: Toddlers are 15-36 months with one grownup, Early Birds are ages 3-5 with optional parent participation, and Small Fries are independent learners ages 4-7. Playful general music classes for our youngest music students.
  • GROUP INSTRUMENTS: Group Piano is for 5 to 7-year-old developing musicians. 
  • Age-appropriate, holistic, gentle and joyful. Classes are small; quality is big. Four to eight children per class.
  • 2026 winter tuition prices for 12-week classes is $175

Note: When paying online, you can choose Paypal or Venmo. For Venmo, please use 252-955-0706 to find us. Paypal is simply our processing system for credit and debit cards; you do not have to have a Paypal account to pay tuition online. Thanks!

Classes for Children – Overview

Registration is open for our 2026 winter semester. Our classes come in two basic flavors: general music and group instrument.

GENERAL MUSIC

Holistic and playful, these classes are a powerful and natural, age-appropriate introduction to singing, rhythm, instruments and movement for our littlest musicians.

  • Toddlers are 15-36 months old. Choice of Tuesdays, Wednesdaysor Thursdays.9:00-9:35 am. No prior schooling or experience is expected. Toddler musicians participate with one grown-up. 1/12/2026-4/2/2026
  • Early Birds are 3-5 years old. Thursdays 3:00-3:45. Students preferably are in pre-school or have previously taken a music class. Parent participation optional. winter semester 1/12/2026-4/2/2026
  • Small Fries are 4-7 and in pre- or elementary school. Thursdays 4:00-4:45. This is a drop-off class, meaning children participate independently of their grownups. winter semester 1/12/2026-4/2/2026

THE GROUP INSTRUMENT EXPERIENCE

Still playful, these classes are a comfortable bridge from general music to private lessons.

  • Group Piano for 5 to 7 year olds. Mondays 3:45-4:30 winter semester 1/12/2026-4/2/2026
  • Triple Decker Sampler for 6 to 8 year olds. Returning summer 2026
  • Group Ukulele for 6 to 8 year olds. Returning summer 2026

Music classes for young children are playful programs of age-appropriate, holistic music.  Classes are small – between four and ten children in each. Our young musicians get lots of attention in a safe learning environment.  Payment of tuition holds your spot.  

Please note: We require a minimum enrollment of four to offer a class.  If there is not sufficient enrollment to offer a particular class, we will let you know and offer you a choice of a different class. Detailed class descriptions.
