Fall 2025 semester registering now. Semester begins the first week of September. 

Music classes for young children:

  • GENERAL MUSIC: Small Fries ages 4-7, Toddlers 15-36 months with one grownup, Early Birds 3-5 with optional parent participation – general music for our youngest learners.
  • GROUP INSTRUMENTS: Group Ukulele and Triple Decker Sampler are all for independent 6 to 8 year-old developing musicians.
  • NEW IN 2025: Group Guitar, Group Piano, and Group Voice for independent 7 to 9-year-old developing musicians! AND Group Piano for 5 to 7-year-olds. 
  • Age-appropriate, holistic, gentle and joyful. Classes are small; quality is big. Four to eight children per class.
  • 2025 fall tuition prices for 12-week classes is $175 (toddlers, group guitar, piano & voice) and for 8-week classes is $115 (early birds, small fries, triple decker, group ukulele).

Note: When paying online, you can choose Paypal or Venmo. For Venmo, please use 252-955-0706 to find us. Paypal is simply our processing system for credit and debit cards; you do not have to have a Paypal account to pay tuition online. Thanks!

Classes for Children – Overview

Registration is open for our 2025 fall semester. Our classes come in two basic flavors: general music and group instrument.

GENERAL MUSIC

Holistic and playful, these classes are a powerful and natural, age-appropriate introduction to singing, rhythm, instruments and movement for our littlest musicians.

  • Toddlers are 15-36 months old. Wednesdays, choice of 9:00-9:35 am or 10:00-10:35 am. No prior schooling or experience is expected. Toddler musicians participate with one grown-up. 9/3/25-12/4/25. (no class Thanksgiving week)
  • Early Birds are 3-5 years old. Thursdays 3:00-3:45. Students preferably are in pre-school or have previously taken a music class. Parent participation optional. 2025 fall semester 9/4/25-10/30/25
  • Small Fries are 4-7 and in pre- or elementary school. Thursdays 4:00-4:45. This is a drop-off class, meaning children participate independently of their grownups. 2025 fall semester: 9/4/25-10/30/25

THE GROUP INSTRUMENT EXPERIENCE

Still playful, these classes are a comfortable bridge from general music to private lessons.

  • Group Ukulele for 6 to 8 year olds. Thursdays 5:00-5:30. 2025 fall semester: 9/4/25-10/30/25
  • Triple Decker Sampler for 6 to 8 year olds. Tuesdays 3:00-3:30. 2025 fall semester: 9/2/25-10/28/25 
  • Group Guitar for 7 to 9 year olds. New this fall! Fridays 4:00-4:45 fall semester 9/5/25-12/5/25 (no class Halloween or Thanksgiving weeks)
  • Group Piano for 5 to 7 year olds. New this fall! Mondays 3:45-4:30 fall semester 9/8/25-12/1/25 
  • Group Piano for 7 to 10 year olds. New this fall! Saturdays 9:00-9:45 fall semester 9/6/25-12/5/25 (no class Halloween or Thanksgiving weeks.)
  • Group Voice for 7 to 10 year olds. New this fall! Saturdays 10:00-10:45 fall semester 9/6/25-12/5/25 (no class Halloween or Thanksgiving weeks)

Music classes for young children are playful programs of age-appropriate, holistic music.  Classes are small – between four and ten children in each. Our young musicians get lots of attention in a safe learning environment.  Payment of tuition holds your spot.  

Please note: We require a minimum enrollment of four to offer a class.  If there is not sufficient enrollment to offer a particular class, we will let you know and offer you a choice of a different class. Detailed class descriptions.
