Our purpose
From lessons to performance, music for the community is a highlight of our purpose at Ascencion Music Academy, and our students eagerly offer their musical gifts! Examples of our students bringing music to our Outer Banks neighbors include student recitals, Grateful Friends benefit concert series, special programs such as the 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, public masterclasses, community events like Artrageous and the Outer Banks Lively Arts Forum, local festivals, and even our local assisted living facility Spring Arbor. In all these and more, our students can be found spreading joy through music. Beyond that, our teachers all perform and/or record locally and beyond.
