
Chelsea Jenkins has always been passionate about the arts. She is excited to have the opportunity to teach music to young minds!
Background
Chelsea’s musical background spans over two decades – including six years in the Appalachian Children’s Chorus, seven years singing in multiple choirs, clubs and camps, two years studying piano, four years of voice lessons, as well as performances in both theater and musical theater, most recently with the Theatre of Dare.
Chelsea has completed certification in music education in early childhood through MusikGarten – toddler, pre-schooler and early elementary musicians. As well, she is actively being mentored by veteran music teacher Cathy Pescevich Kreplin. Chelsea cares deeply about helping kids foster a love of and appreciation for the world of music!
Beyond Music
Outside of the arts, Chelsea has earned two bachelor’s degrees – in aeronautics and in aviation business administration. She has lived here in the Outer Banks for the past thirteen years. Besides her teaching, Chelsea stays busy raising three young boys and enjoying family life!
