“I finished my freshman year of college about a month ago … a voice performance major with a jazz minor. It was a year full of long hours in the practice room, the development of an actual work ethic … It has been, without a doubt, the best year of my life. I wanted to thank you both for making this year possible for me. Miss Cathy, you especially gave me the support I needed to succeed. Without all the years of patient teaching, I would surely have failed … Mr. Gordon, you were an excellent teacher, despite the fact that I was a horrible student… I’ve started taking classical guitar lessons again, and have actually been making progress this time!
