Music classes for young children: Small Fries ages 4-7; Toddlers 15-36 months with one grownup; Early Birds 3-5 with optional parent participation; Group Strings 6 to 8 year-old independent musicians.  Age-appropriate, holistic, gentle and joyful. Classes are small; quality is big. Three to eight children per class.

Twelve-week semester tuition price for all children’s classes is $150. 

Children’s Music Classes are often full temporarily. Put yourself on our waiting list by clicking in the drop down below and choosing “Waiting List.” 

Note: When paying online, you can choose Paypal or Venmo. For Venmo, please use 252-955-0706 to find us. Paypal is simply our processing system for credit and debit cards; you do not have to have a Paypal account to pay tuition online. Thanks!

Classes for Children

Register today for our 2024 spring/summer semester. May 1 through July 25 (no classes 7/3 or 7/4)

Program Overview

  • Toddlers are 15 to 36 months old. No prior schooling or experience is expected. Offered on a rolling basis year-round. Wednesdays 9:00-9:35 am. Toddler musicians participate with one grown-up. Next dates 2024: May 1st through July 24th. (no class July 3rd)
  • Early birds are 3 to 5 years old. Students preferably are in pre-school or have previously taken a music class. Parent participation is optional. Thursdays 3:00-3:45. Next dates 2024: May 2nd through July 25th. (no class July 4th)
  • Group Strings is for 6 to 8 year olds. Offered on a rolling basis year-round. Thursdays 4:00-4:30. Next dates 2024: May 2nd through July 25th (no class July 4th)
  • Small Fries are 4 to 7 and in pre- or elementary school. Offered on a rolling basis, year-round. Thursdays 4:45-5:30. This is a drop-off class, meaning children participate independently of their grownups. Next dates 2024: May2nd through July 25th. (no class July 4th)
  • Group Triple Decker is for 6 to 8 year olds. New for Fall 2024 – details to come! Thursdays 5:45-6:15. Planned next dates 2024: September 11th through December 11th. (no class November 28th)

Music classes for young children are playful programs of age-appropriate, holistic music.  Classes are small – between three and eight children in each – so our young musicians get lots of attention. As well, small classes mean a safe learning environment.  Payment of tuition holds your spot. spring-summer 2024 semester: 5/01/24 through 7/25/2024. (no classes 7/3 or 7/4)

When the unexpected happens and postponement is necessary after you’ve already paid tuition, full credit will be available for up to one year of initial payment. Refunds are not available.

Please note: We require a minimum enrollment of three to hold class.  If there is not sufficient enrollment to offer a particular class, we will let you know and offer you a choice of a different class.
