Summer 2025 semester registering now: 5/6/25 – 7/31/25 (no classes week of July 1) Please note, toddlers will have their own summer sampler month during August only.

Music classes for young children:

  • GENERAL MUSIC: Small Fries ages 4-7, Toddlers 15-36 months with one grownup, Early Birds 3-5 with optional parent participation – general music for our youngest learners.
  • GROUP INSTRUMENTS: Intro to Strings, Next Level Strings, and Triple Decker Sampler are all for independent 6 to 8 year-old developing musicians.  
  • Age-appropriate, holistic, gentle and joyful. Classes are small; quality is big. Three to eight children per class.
  • Twelve-week semester tuition price for all children’s classes is $165. 

Children’s Music Classes are often full temporarily. Put yourself on our waiting list – in the list below where tuition is paid – by clicking in the drop down below and selecting “Waiting List.” 

Note: When paying online, you can choose Paypal or Venmo. For Venmo, please use 252-955-0706 to find us. Paypal is simply our processing system for credit and debit cards; you do not have to have a Paypal account to pay tuition online. Thanks!

Classes for Children

Register today for our 2025 summer semester. 5/6/25 – 7/31/2025. (no classes week of July 1st) Please note – toddlers have a different schedule than the rest of our summer classes .

Program Overview

General Music: Holistic and playful, these classes are a powerful and natural, age-appropriate introduction to singing, rhythm, instruments and movement for our littlest musicians.

  • Toddlers are 15-36 months old. Wednesdays 9:00-9:35 am. No prior schooling or experience is expected. Toddler musicians participate with one grown-up. 2025 summer sampler – August 6, 13, 20, 27 only! 
  • Early Birds are 3-5 years old. Thursdays 3:00-3:45. Students preferably are in pre-school or have previously taken a music class. Parent participation optional. 2025 summer semester 5/8/25 – 7/31/25 (no classes 7/3)
  • Small Fries are 4-7 and in pre- or elementary school. Thursdays 4:00-4:45. This is a drop-off class, meaning children participate independently of their grownups. 2025 summer semester: 5/6/25 – 7/29/25 (no classes 7/1)

The Group Instrument Experience: Still playful, these classes are a comfortable a bridge between general music and focused private lessons.

  • Intro to Strings is for 6 to 8 year olds. Not offered this semester.
  • Next Level Strings is for 6 to 8 year olds. Thursdays 5:00-5:30. 2025 summer semester 5/8/25 – 7/31/25 (no classes 7/3)
  • Triple Decker Sampler is for 6 to 8 year olds. Tuesdays 3:00-3:30 2025 summer semester: 5/6/25 – 7/29/25 (no classes 7/1)

Music classes for young children are playful programs of age-appropriate, holistic music.  Classes are small – between three and eight children in each – so our young musicians get lots of attention in a safe learning environment.  Payment of tuition holds your spot.  Summer 2025 semester: 5/6/2025 – 7/31/25 for all except Toddlers. No class the week of July 1st. Toddler summer sampler four Wednesdays in August only.

Please note: We require a minimum enrollment of three to offer a class.  If there is not sufficient enrollment to offer a particular class, we will let you know and offer you a choice of a different class.
